I am so honored to be a member of the Holtville High School Faculty and love the students here.  We have a great school!  I am a graduate of Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.  I have taught in Pennsylvania and in Alex City before coming to Holtville.  I have also been in the interior design business prior to entering my teaching career.

We are very excited about our new Culinary Arts Curriculum.  Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to obtain business/industry credentials in the culinary arts field.  They will also be able to receive articulated credit with state 2 year institutions in culinary.  That means that their courses here will also give them college credit if they continue their schooling in culinary arts at a state accredited institution that has a culinary program!

This program will equip students with knowledge and skills needed in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry such as Executive and Sous Chefs, Kitchen Managers, Food Service Sales, Catering, Pastry Chef, Food Stylist, Food Editor, Event Planners, Food Critic just to name a few.  The courses in this program include Hospitality and Tourism and Culinary Arts 1 as the year 1 program and Culinary Arts 2 and Bakery and Pastry Arts as year 2.

Please check out other sections of my page.  There are descriptions of projects the students will be doing in class and pictures of student activities.  Please be sure to check out the FCCLA  and Cross Country pages also.
