Hello and welcome to the Holtville High School web page. As your principal I would like to tell you that we are emphasizing the use of this web page to communicate all the important information that you need to know about HHS. For those that do not know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Jimmy Hull and I am honored to follow such great men as Mr. Chritzberg, Mr. Allen, Mr. Formby, Mr. Whatley, and Mr. Earnest as the principal of Holtville High School. This year will be my sixth as principal, but my experiences in the Holtville/Slapout community are much more extensive. I attended Holtville Schools from kindergarten through the 12th grade. I returned to Holtville High School after college to begin my career as a teacher in 1998. I taught English and History for 4 great years. I also served as a coach in many different areas. It was during this time that I received a Master's Degree in school administration. I spent the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 school years as the assistant principal at Holtville Middle School. In June of 2004 year I was named the principal of Holtville High. I am married to my lovely wife Terrie and we have two beautiful girls Kaylie and Avery. The most important thing that you need to know about me relating to school 0is that I love Holtville. This is much more than a job for me. My wife, mother, grandmother, and many other relatives and close friends attended Holtville. This is my home and I feel a strong sense of loyalty to the school and the community. I believe in Holtville. I believe it is a special place. I believe that once you come to Holtville, you become part of a family. I believe that is why we succeed at such a high level. I plan on dedicating myself 100% to continuing our legacy of success and working hard to make HHS the best school in the state. I believe that we can do it. We will continue to score higher than any other school in the county on the Alabama High School Graduation Exam and the Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing. We will continue to compete at a high level in athletics despite being the smallest school in the county. All this is possible because we have a fantastic faculty, great students, and tremendous alumni and community support. As principal of Holtville High School, I promise to always be an advocate for all the Holtville Schools. I also promise to base all of my decisions on the needs of the students. Remember, my door is always open. Thanks again for your support. Go Dogs!! J. Hull
